Improving the lives of women and girls through programs leading to social and economic empowerment.
SOROPTIMIST INTERNATIONAL OF THE AMERICAS
Soroptimist Dream Programs Participation The Soroptimist Dream Programs support our vision that women and girls have the resources and opportunities to reach their full potential and live their dreams. They also support our core value that women and girls deserve to lead full and productive lives through access to education.
Live Your Dream: Education & Training Awards for Women Club Participation Clubs are considered participating if they select a woman for a local-level award and forward her application for additional levels of judging. Awards are cash grants that support a woman’s educational costs. Many clubs provide additional support beyond a cash award in the form of mentoring, job preparation, tutoring, financial advice, child care, gift cards, clothing, food and other donations.
Dream It, Be It: Career Support for Girls Club Participation A club (or clubs) are considered participating if they have held a Dream It, Be It conference or small group mentoring sessions for girls in secondary school, used the Dream It, Be It curriculum and provided the impact information through the SIA online evaluation database. If two or more clubs are working together and sharing responsibility for the project equally, all are counted as participating. Club Support Clubs who wish to engage with Dream It, Be It but do not have the capacity to manage their own project may support another participating club by providing financial support, in-kind donations, providing speakers or administrative support and/or providing additional opportunities for girls participating in a Dream It, Be It project.
