IN THE CHARITY OF YOUR PRAYERS please remember the peaceful repose of the souls of + Paul Tachok, + Alfreda Gillmeister, + Mary Welnicki and + Gary Roncone whose funerals were celebrated recently. May they rest in peace... Our sympathy to those who suffer this loss. GOSPEL REFLECTION: Stoning is not just an ancient act of violence. Each day we throw stones of ridicule, criticism, name-calling and put-downs. All of it is deadly. Hear Jesus in today's gospel, "Whoever is without sin can throw the first stone." Rid your mind of violence. Stop the verbal stoning! A MOMENT WITH MARY: “May the Blessed Virgin Mary help me to live a holy life and die a holy death. Then, at the last instants of my life, may she come to my assistance and lead me to heaven." (St. Dominic Savio) HEALING PRAYERS: As I ask God to bless me, do I bless other people and pray for them? The more I pray for healing for others, the more the Lord will bless me. Give, and it will be given unto you. Don't miss a chance to bless and pray for as many people as possible today...."Lord, give me an attitude of praying for a healing for each person I meet today." Week 1. Do you have a sense that God is not only calling you to holiness, but also to a life of service to His people as an ordained priest or deacon, or as a vowed religious? You can discuss it with Fr. Walter Szczesny, our Diocesan Vocation Director. Call him at 847-5535. CATHOLIC CHARITIES: As we enter into "Appeal Week 2013", please ensure we reach our goal by responding with your contribution or pledge today.
