Attention: This report reflects only what was received by the BBA during the reported month. Churches contribute however they choose, weekly, monthly, quarterly or annually.

Work at Sunset Cove is at a standstill since we are in a burn-band for the county. Cutting brush and cleaning up is about all we are doing now. However we are on the grounds attending the gate each morning and evening from 8:00 - 8:00. We will soon close earlier (6:00) since the time change will make such a big difference in swimming and use of the beaches. A foundation for the new meeting place is on hold for lack of funds. Silo Baptist Church has received a love offering for us and we are grateful for that. More money is needed if we are going to complete the foundation. The building which will sit on that foundation is the one donated to us by Falls Creek. There will be a "call to help" when time has come to erect the building. Will you consider helping us erect it? God has been good to us in these ten months and much work and effort has been made to make your Sunset Cove Ministry project the success it is. A Gideon and his wife are coming to the Cove on Sunday afternoons to distribute gospel tracts and make a witness for our Lord. Won’t you come out as well and meet and share with the ones using our facilities? There are available camp sites in the RV park for your use. Call the office and make your arrangements or call Winston Smith at 920-3723. Keep us in your prayers and come help us make the improvements needed. Many thanks to the ones who have helped me in the past and we’d like to see more of you come be a part of what is going on. This is your Ministry. You voted this into being so please support it and let it be a ministry to the lost who come each weekend. If your church is not presently contributing to Sunset Cove please consider putting us in your annual budget. Thank you for allowing Mary and I to work with you at Sunset Cove.

Mark Lowry will be at Falls Creek on October 11th from 10am - 1:30pm. Lunch will be provided by the Disaster Relief Team. Tickets are $15.00 per person in advance or $25 at the gate. Call the Baptist Foundation of OK at 800-9499988 for tickets or more information. The Senior Adult Roadrunners are going, if you would like to go with them you can call the BBA office to sign up and pay.

A Simple Thank You Last week, while traveling to Chicago on business, I noticed a Marine sergeant traveling with a folded flag, but did not put two and two together. After we boarded our flight, I turned to the sergeant, who' d been invited to sit in First Class (across from me), and inquired if he was heading home. No,

he responded. Heading out I asked? No. I'm escorting a soldier home. Going to pick him up? No. He is with me right now. He was killed in Iraq . I'm taking him home to his family. The realization of what he had been asked to do hit me like a punch to the gut. It was an honor for him. He told me that, although he didn't know the soldier, he had delivered the news of his passing to the soldier's family and felt as if he knew them after many conversations in so few days. I turned back to him, extended my hand, and said, Thank you. Thank you for doing what you do so my family and I can do what we do. Upon landing in Chicago the pilot stopped short of the gate and made the following announcement over the intercom. "Ladies and gentlemen, I would like to note that we have had the honor of having Sergeant Steeley of the United State s Marine Corps join us on this flight. He is escorting a fallen comrade back home to his family. I

ask that you please remain in your seats when we open the forward door to allow Sergeant Steeley to deplane and receive his fellow soldier. We will then turn off the seat belt sign. "Without a sound, all went as requested. I noticed the sergeant saluting the casket as it was brought off the plane, and his action made me realize that I am proud to be an American. So

here's a public Thank You to our military Men and Women for what you do so we can live the way we do. signed:
